Kebab casserole It is a dish inspired by Turkish cuisine. It is extremely aromatic and expressive – full of vegetables and lean chicken meat, creating a filling dish and provides all the most important nutrients. Prepare among others chicken breasts, potatoes, carrots, various types of peppers and shallot. Such a dish will work as a dinner for the whole family, especially if you like slightly oriental flavors.
Before you start cooking, prepare the following ingredients:
- 800 g chicken breasts,
- 500 ml of beef or poultry broth,
- 2 large potatoes,
- 1 carrot,
- 1 green pepper,
- 1 red pepper,
- 100 g of green peas,
- 4 shallots,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 5 branches of fresh thyme,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato concentrate,
- 1 tablespoon of AJVAR paprika paste,
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour,
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
You can serve a ready dish with pita or favorite bread.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan with a thick bottom of the oven. Add diced chicken with chopped thyme. Gently fry the meat for about 10 minutes.
Add finely chopped shallots and garlic. Fry for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add finely chopped peppers cleaned of seed nests. Add tomato concentrate, ajvar, flour, salt and pepper. Mix quickly.
Pour the broth and scrape all the remains adhered to the bottom of the pan. Add finely chopped potatoes and carrots. Mix and bring the whole to a boil.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and put the pan inside the pan uncovered. Bake the whole for an hour, and pour peas inside 15 minutes before the end and mix.
Remove the kebab casserole and set aside for 10 minutes to cool. Serve warm. Store the remains in the fridge, in a tight container; Use within 2-3 days, after heating in the oven or in a pan.
