The Pernambuco singer and songwriter João Gomes23, star the First episode of the Brazilian version of “Tiny Desk Concerts”, Success project created by NPR radio in the United States.
It opens the expected first season alongside a band with unpublished formation, designed especially for the format. The musicians who accompany the singer are Jeovanny accordion (accordion), Michael Pipoquinha (bass), Kainã do Jêje (drums), Gilú Amaral (percussion), Chibatinha (guitar), Pedro Porto (guitar) and Nilson Sax (flute and sax).
For 20 minutes of presentation, the musician brings new outfit to successes as “Dengo” and “my piece of sin”and other iconic discography tracks (see below).
“On the day of the recording of ‘Tiny Desk Brasil’, a fan asked me on the way out of the hotel what I came to do in Sao Paulo and I answered ‘I’m going there, making history!'” The singer said in a press release.
Launched by American radio in 2008, the musical project receives stars and revelations of music for live performances and makes the result on its official Youtube account. Have already passed both names consecrated in the mainstream, as well as Taylor Swift, Two lipa, Justin Bieber e Adeleand more niced or rising artists, as Chappell Roan, C. Tangna, Tinashe, Khalid e Jazmine Sullivan.
Remembering the episodes he has watched, João Gomes mentioned those of the artists Aminé e Mac Miller as your favorite artists.
The production, which holds licensing, in partnership with YouTube Brazil. In addition to presenting an intimate show, the space that welcomes the stars mimics a kind of office, in which artists sing new versions of hits known to fans and audiences.
