Netanyahu for Gaza: “We are near the end of the war”

Νετανιάχου: Πυρά στο σπίτι του ισραηλινού πρωθυπουργού

“We are close to the end of the war,” his prime minister said on the second anniversary of the October 7th attack, speaking to American commentator Ben Sapiro’s podcast, as reported by Israeli media.

“What started in Gaza will end in Gaza, with the liberation of our hostages and the end of its domination,” Netanyahu explained.

The Israeli prime minister opened his interview by describing October 7 as “the most horrible event that the Jewish people have experienced after the Holocaust”, stressing that “everyone believed that Israel was over, but two years later, we have destroyed it.”

‘We will get to Hamas’ elimination’

“Hamas has not yet been eliminated, but we will get there,” he continued, adding that “Hezbollah, Syria and Houthi have also suffered severe blows.”

“Since that day, Israel has emerged as the strongest state in the region,” he said, “but there are still missions that must be completed to come to the final victory.”

“We want to see our hostages come back home, and we are close, even if we have not yet fully succeeded. At the same time, we can look back and recognize an impressive event: from the depths of despair, we were reborn and returned as the dominant power in the Middle East – perhaps stronger than ever. And this is something we can really be grateful for, “Netanyahu concluded.
