Donald Trump announced that the UFC edition in the White House will be on June 14, 2026, when the president of the United States celebrates 80 years. The date was revealed during a speech in Norfolk, Virginia, on Sunday. In August, UFC President Dana White confirmed the mixed martial arts event at the headquarters of American power after Trump’s request.
At first, the event was scheduled to take place on July 4, the United States Independence Day, as indicated by the White House. However, the date has been changed to the day Trump celebrates 80 years.
According to the president of the United States, the fight will be held in the White House gardens, headquarters of the American presidential and residence. In July, when he spoke about the event for the first time, Trump said the card should receive 20 to 25,000 people as part of the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence.

Despite Trump’s announcement, the UFC has not yet confirmed the date for the event. Also, there are no confirmed fights yet. However, the former champion of the Pena-Pena and Lightweight Conor McGregor categories has already stated that he wants to face American Michael Chandler at UFC in the main card. Another who has also expressed interest in participating in the event is the Brazilian Alex Poatan, current owner of the light heavyweight belt and wants to face former champion of the Jon Jones category, who retired in June.
Since Donald Trump’s reelection, friendship with Dana White have narrowed further. In 2024, the US president invited the UFC president to participate in the victory speech after the election. In addition, Trump is a constant presence at UFC events in the United States.
