Sometimes it’s better to stop thinking and just start. When you know what you do, everything is easier and it is true for cleaning. Stretch gloves and move to work!
What do you need? Less than you think
Having a plan means to be clear, not to wander around the room and not to waste time. Set the timer, play music and go on. It’s not about perfection, but that you have a order instead of chaos and that counts.
There is no need for the whole arsenal for normal kitchen cleaning. All you need is a universal spray, a sponge or a microfiber cloth, a cloth for a leaf and a garbage bag.
Most people have these things at home at hand, just need to have them in one place, ideally in a basket or in a box.
Are you not able to make order? You may have little storage space. You can be inspired, for example, in this post.
15 minutes to change the kitchen
Just a quarter of an hour and the kitchen may look fresh again. Stick to a simple plan:
- 0–1 minute – Prepare cloth, universal cleaner, garbage bag and turn on the timer.
- 1–4 minutes – Clean up from the desktop Everything that doesn’t belong there. Return things, remove crumbs and packaging.
- 4-7 minutes – insert dirty dishes Wash or wash it quickly. Clean the sink and battery.
- 7-10 minutes – Wipe Work area, stove, appliances and cabinet door.
- 10-12 minutes – Eye the basketfill in the bag, wipe the switches and handles.
- 12-15 minutes – Find out Or swipe the floor, adjust the cloths, look around and you’re done!
Every minute makes sense. Thanks to the firm rhythm, the work will not stop and in fifteen minutes you have a kitchen that you want to return to.
Press the saw once a week
The daily 15 minutes maintains order, but from time to time you need to go more deep.
It is worth adding tasks like, microwaves, sinks and drains per week or per month. You can also wipe cabinets and check food supplies.
This will take more time such, but thanks to regular routine it will never be desperate. The key is to do a little every day, not everything at once. Regular maintenance pays off and will make you feel like in cotton when you take a coffee or good tea after work.
