Access to housing in the Algarve continues to be one of the region’s biggest challenges, but a new project in Lagoa promises to change this situation. It is called Vale da Pipa Residence and is the largest private affordable housing development in the western Algarve and one of the largest in the entire Algarve. According to the Idealista portal, the initiative has already generated more than 200 expressions of interest, even before starting the construction phase.
Located on the outskirts of Lagoa, the project is the result of a partnership between Carvoeiro Branco, an Algarve real estate developer, and TPS – Teixeira, Pinto & Soares, SA, a construction and engineering company based in the northern region. The objective is simple: to offer homes with quality and prices compatible with the reality of families who live and work in the Algarve.
Project designed to respond to the housing shortage
According to the same source, Vale da Pipa Residence comprises 304 apartments, with typologies between T1 and T3, in addition to 20 plots of land intended for the construction of single-family houses with a swimming pool. The latter can reach up to 450 square meters, allowing personalized solutions adapted to buyers’ needs.
The project, which advances under the motto “Housing for All”, is aimed at young people, families and professionals who are looking for a balance between comfort, modernity and financial sustainability. The publication writes that this bet comes as a response to the scarcity of affordable supply in a regional market where prices continue to alienate long-term residents.
Houses, commerce and leisure spaces in one area
The publication states that the project will also include commercial spaces, parking, storage rooms, green areas, children’s playgrounds and leisure areas. The location is considered one of its strengths: just a few minutes from the center of Lagoa, close to schools, services and with a direct connection to the A22, the main road in the Algarve.
According to the same source, the project was designed to combine functionality with harmonious integration into the territory, focusing on urban solutions that promote coexistence and community well-being.
Continued investment in the Algarve
He reminds us that the two companies already work together on The Court, a tourist development with 104 apartments located in Carvoeiro. In this partnership, Teixeira, Pinto & Soares, SA assumes the construction, while Carvoeiro Branco plays the role of promoter.
With Vale da Pipa Residence, Lagoa is now preparing to receive a project that, according to the developers, could serve as a model for future affordable housing initiatives in other parts of the country.
