Leader of the mayor and opposition councilor came out in the cold over a project that is in the CCJ

The fight between councilors Denis Barros and Maycon Machado, which occurred on Tuesday night (7) during a session at the Sena Madureira Chamber, had its origins in political conflicts and disagreements over the processing of a bill in the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), chaired by Maycon.

Before the physical confrontation, the atmosphere was already tense. During the session, Maycon would have repeatedly criticized Denis’ performance, questioning his experience, knowledge of the Chamber’s regulations and the way he conducts his work. There were also accusations about the alleged distribution of medicines, which would have been interpreted as an attempt to influence votes, further increasing the friction between the two parliamentarians.
