The Minister of Tourism, , used a phrase from President Lula from the 1989 campaign to rebut a criticism of the governor of Goiás, , after a meeting of the National Executive of , both parties, this Wednesday (8).
“When [Caiado] reach 1.5% in the survey, I’ll respond to him”, the minister told journalists, in reference to the governor’s low points for president in 2026.
The speech is the same as Lula’s in a TV debate in 1989, in which he participated with Caiado. At the time, both were candidates for president.
Sabino had been criticized by Goiás before the start of the meeting. The reason is the minister’s refusal to leave the Lula government, after a decision from União Brasil.
