In the mountains of central Slovakia, it is necessary to count on the stronger wind from Friday (10. 10.). This is pointed out by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) who issued first and second level warnings. Informs about it on his website.
Alerts of the second stage are valid for the districts of Banská Bystrica, Brezno, Liptovský Mikuláš, Ružomberok, Tvrdošín and Poprad. The wind may occur in positions above about 1800 meters, which can reach 135 to 160 kilometers per hour in impacts (km/h), on average 90 to 100 km/h, which is a strong storm.
The first level warnings apply to the districts of Dolný Kubín, Námestovo, Martin and Žilina. In positions above the forest zone may occur wind that can reach in gusts 110 to 135 km/h, on average 70 to 85 km/h, which is a whirlwind.
