An unusual episode took place at the Fernando de Azevedo School, in Ouro Preto do Oeste (RO). Student Arthur, just 8 years old, caught the attention of classmates and teachers when he arrived for class with a coffin-shaped backpack.

The accessory was created in honor of his mother’s work and drew attention due to the realism of the details/Photo: Reproduction
The accessory, produced with great detail, impressively realistically resembled a small coffin. The scene caused surprise and laughter among the students, who, for a few moments, came to believe that the object was real.
After the initial shock, the atmosphere at school became one of curiosity and relaxation. Arthur explained that he wanted to honor his mother, owner of a funeral home, and take something that represented the family’s work.
The creative and personality-filled gesture resonated among students and on social media, making little Arthur the center of attention and showing that, for him, family pride can also be carried on one’s back — literally.
