The influencer Clara Maia32, used social media to update the health status of her son Theo, a twin who survived premature birth.
She highlighted that not every premature baby faces the same risks, as a baby born at 32 weeks, for example, has a very different situation from one born at 27 or 28 weeks, as is the case with her son.
Clara said that Theo is under a protocol called “minimum handling”, which requires as little physical contact as possible to avoid serious risks, such as bleeding.
Despite this, she explained that skin-to-skin contact is still carried out in a controlled manner, as it is essential for the baby’s development. “We hold him, but little, because he is very delicate,” he said.
The influencer also shared that Theo has already undergone important advances, such as extubation, is reacting well to treatments and is currently receiving 8ml of milk.
Clara revealed that she usually spends a good part of the day in the hospital, between 11:30 am and 4 pm, and that the family’s routine has been divided between caring for the baby in the ICU and life at home.

At the end of last month, Clara, who was pregnant with twins for the second time, announced that she lost one of the babies. Through Instagram, she shared that Túlio didn’t resist and that Theo is fighting for his life and “to overcome extreme prematurity.”
The influencer revealed that the babies had fetal-fetal transfusion syndrome, a serious condition that affects identical twins who share a placenta, causing an imbalance in blood flow between them.
Next, she says that in her case, the syndrome was acute and unexpected. “All the exams were perfect and we did ultrasounds every 2 weeks, monitoring them very closely. They were born at 27 weeks, in an emergency cesarean section. Túlio was the recipient and was born weighing 995g, with a very overloaded heart, he couldn’t resist. Theo was the donor, born weighing 680g. He is in the ICU fighting for his life”, he explains.
Alongside André Coelho, who she met on the reality show “De Férias com o Ex Brasil” in 2016, the influencer is already the mother of twins, José and João, aged 1. Together, they announced their second twin pregnancy in May this year.
“We are pregnant with twins. This time the pregnancy was natural! The new twins are identical, that is, identical twins! The embryo divided”, wrote Clara Maia at the time.
The influencer had said that this had always been her dream: “I always said that I would be a mother of twins, if I could choose, but I didn’t think that God would be so faithful to my dreams… His plans are always perfect.”
Clara Maia and André Coelho also participated in the “Power Couple” program in 2019. They married in October 2020 and became parents for the first time in April 2024.
