Donald Trump said he believes that the Israeli hostages left in the Gaza Strip would “have returned on Monday” during an interview with Fox News by phone hours after.
“I think the hostages will have returned on Monday (…) This will include the corpses of the dead,” the US president told the network.
Of the 251 people who had been abducted at its raid in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, the trigger of the war, there are 47 remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip, but 25 were declared dead by the Israeli army. The pocket is also the corpse of Israeli military who had lost his life in a previous war between Israel and Hamas.
“We believe that Gaza will become a much safer place, it will be rebuilt, and other countries in the region will help rebuild as they have huge wealth and want to be done. And we (the US) will participate, to help and guarantee success and to maintain peace, “the tycoon said.
He also considered that he believes that Iran should also be a “part” of the peace process, without making it more specific.
“The whole world was involved to close this deal (…) so many countries that you can’t imagine did what they needed,” the Republican said.
“It is very good for Israel, for Muslims, for the Arab countries (…), for the US,” he continued, stressing that it was “more than (Peace S) Gaza. This is peace in the Middle East. “
