At least 20 members of a neo-Nazi group are being sought by Portuguese authorities on suspicion of having beaten an immigrant living in the district of Santarém.
The attack occurred on Sunday, at 7pm, and without any apparent reason. The members of this group they will have insulted and beaten the victim until he lost consciousness.
Racchhpa is 29 years old and has lived in Portugal for six years. Had to receive hospital treatment in Santarém where, this Thursday, it was still being observed.
From what SIC found, the neo-Nazi group had stopped at km 44 of the A1, towards Lisbon-Porto, after celebrating the 5th of October – the so-called “Family Day”, the date of the signing of the Zamora treaty – in a meeting with Spanish nationalists and those from other countries, with great prominence on social media.
The victim, resident in Alpiarça, in the district of Santarém, is a member of the Sikh communityoriginating in India and already with 80 thousand members in Portugal.
Racchhpa has long denounced that immigrants in Portugal are victims of increasingly frequent crimes of racism and discrimination.
