The separation was accompanied by clear words. On Monday, Chad revoked the mandate for two nature reserves with an area roughly the size of Austria from the conservation organization African Parks – whose leadership includes Prince Harry as a current board member and former president. The Environment Ministry in Chad cited insufficient efforts to combat increasing poaching and “disrespectful” treatment of the authorities as reasons.
