Slovakia welcomes a report on reaching the match between Israel and Hamas on the implementation of the first phase of the peace plan for the Gaza band, which was presented by the President of the United States of America Donald Trump. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD). “We perceive this as a significant step towards the end of the conflict, alleviating the suffering of the civilian population and eliminating the threats of terrorist attacks,” He added the head of Slovak diplomacy.

He recalled that the SR supported the 20-point peace plan at the beginning. “We considered him a great chance to stop the unacceptable bloodshed,” emphasized Blanár.
He pointed out that Slovakia has long supported all international efforts and initiatives leading to peace, stability and protection of the civilian population. “Even in this case, we are ready to be a constructive part of a common effort that aims to restore the peace process and ensure security of all residents of the Middle East region,” Minister Blanár added.
Trump’s first phase of peace plan was announced by Trump on Wednesday (10. 10.) and It was subsequently confirmed by both sides of the conflict, which, since Monday (6. 10.), indirectly negotiated in Egypt. DPA reported that in the first phase Hamas will release all hostages detained in the Palestinian enclave and the Israeli forces will withdraw to the agreed line.
