The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this Wednesday that Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of the peace plan proposed by Washington for the Gaza Strip, which represents the beginning of a ceasefire and the imminent release of all Israeli hostages.
“I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have approved the first phase of our peace plan,” the president wrote on his social network Truth Social. “This means that all the hostages will be released very soon and that Israel will withdraw its troops to an agreed line, as a first step towards a strong, lasting and permanent peace,” he added.
