Drug scandal broke out in the suspect’s frame and dozens of celebrities, including singer Hadishes, who had participated in Eurovision in 2009 with the song Düm Tek.
According to Turkiye Today, Turkey’s authorities have begun research on 19 people, including singers (İrem Derici), actors (Demet Evgar and Berrak Tüzünata), as well as the personalities of social media (Duygu Özaslan and Derin Talu).
The Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that the investigation concerns the crime of “use or stimulants”, according to the Turkish Criminal Code.
They gave blood to the suspects
The Constantinople Gendarmerie Administration carried out the operation, accompanying a large group of celebrities and public figures in medical centers to receive blood samples before transporting them to the Gendarmerie offices to deposit.
The result of the research will depend on the results of toxicological tests and subsequent legal evaluations.
The law enables the authorities to order treatment, rehabilitation or surveillance instead of imprisonment, in cases of personal use, depending on the findings of the research.
