Three people were killed and two others were injured in hitting Russian drones in the Sumi District of Northern Ukraine, military regional governor Oleh Hrihorov announced Wednesday.
“Russia attacks communities in the region with dozens of drones and guided air bombs thrown out of the air,” he noted.
According to the officer, a 46 -year -old was killed in Mikolaifska, a 65 -year -old in Velicopisarifska and a 66 -year -old in Bilopilska.
Russia launched an attack on the Sumi District after repeating the latest Ukrainian Armed Forces in April in April, part of the Ukrainian armed forces in the neighboring Russian region of Kursk, part of which were overwhelmed in the summer of 2024.
In the meantime, on the other side of the border, an invasion of Ukrainian unmanned air vehicles caused fires “in oil and energy installations” in the Volgrad Region, according to Regional Governor Andrei Batsarov.
The Russian army, who has invaded Ukraine in February 2022, has accelerated its advance in the eastern part of the country in recent months, facing an opponent who is disadvantaged and quantities of equipment, without making strategically significant progress.
Kremlin troops have captured a total of about 20% of Ukrainian territory.
