Minister will receive the same as his colleagues who remain at the Court: R$ 46,366.19 monthly (amount without discounts)
Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), who will anticipate his retirement from the Court on Thursday (Oct 9, 2025), will continue to receive the same salary and will maintain the prerogatives of the position.
Based on data from , other ministers who retired in recent years – such as Marco Aurélio Mello, Joaquim Barbosa, Rosa Weber and Carlos Ayres Britto – receive the same gross amount as those currently in office: R$ 46.366,19 monthly.
The net values vary according to compulsory deductions, such as social security contributions and IR (Income Tax), in addition to any deductions related to benefits and bonuses.
In the case of Barroso, 67 years old, he will no longer receive R$7,600.50 related to the permanence bonus, paid to magistrates who remain in activity even after meeting the requirements for retirement.
