The fire in Gaza. This provides for the release of hostages in the process of ending the war in the Palestinian enclave after two years.
“The government has just approved the framework for the liberalization of all hostages – the living and the deceased,” Netanyahu’s office said. OR
The deal that was closed the night before in Egypt was based on Trump’s 20 -point plan. Of the 251 people who had been abducted and led to Gaza that day, 47 remain there. However, at least 25 have been declared dead by the Israeli army.
The liberation of the hostages will “put an end to the war,” said the leader of Israeli Diplomat Gideon Saar. On the other hand, Hamas’s leader Hamille, Halil Al Haya, said that “he received assurances from the Brothers and the US government confirming that the war is being fully ended.”
“What happened (…) is a historic moment,” commented on his part, the president of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas in a rare interview with an Israeli television station, stressing that he wants “peace, security and stability” between the Palestinians and Israel.
‘Possible’ Trump trip
According to Benrosian, a spokesman for the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “the final version of the first phase was signed in Egypt in the morning in all places, in view of the liberation of all hostages” held in Gaza.
“All of our hostages, alive and dead, will be released (at the latest) 72 hours (after the ceasefire is in force)”, which means they will be in Israel “on Monday,” Mrs Bentrosan said in the French Agency.
US President Trump, however, noted that. Before ratified by the government, the agreement was approved by the Government Security Council. Interior Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir (far right) expressed his opposition.
In the 24 hours that follow the start of a ceasefire, the Israeli armed forces will be withdrawn from some zones where they are developed, but will maintain control of 53% of the Gaza Strip, Ms Bentrosyan said.
President Trump said he was planning to travel to the Middle East. “Homer will return on Monday or Tuesday. I will probably be there. I hope to be there. We plan to leave on Sunday, and I’m looking forward to going there, “he said.
Worth Nobel Peace
According to a Hamas official, hostages in life will be released in return for the release of nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israel, “at the same time with specific withdrawals of the Israeli army” from the Gaza Strip and the “entry”. He did not mention the dead hostages.
The Israeli army has confirmed that preparations have begun to rearrange its forces in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Mr Trump “for his efforts” and his “leadership role” that “allowed them to become possible.”
He also considered, as did Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al -Sisi, how.
Next stage to achieve peace in Gaza
Negotiations on the second phase of the Trump plan were expected to begin “immediately” after the agreement was signed. This provides, among other things, disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli troops. The US president assured yesterday that both “disarmament” and “withdrawal” would proceed. Of course, he did not give a timetable and stressed that the priority is the return of the hostages.
The proposal also envisaged the creation of a “peace committee” under the US president himself, who would oversee the transitional government in the Gaza Strip. However, a senior Hamas executive stressed that “no Palestinian could accept such a guardianship. “All the factions, including the Palestinian Authority, reject it,” he added.
Send 200 troops the US, they won’t get into Gaza
The United States will send up to 200 troops to Israel to create a special group. Its purpose will be to support the stabilization efforts in Gaza. However, Americans are not expected to be sent to the Palestinian enclave.
The US Army Central Administration will create the special team, known as the Center for Coordination of Civil and Military Affairs (CMCC). Its role is to facilitate the flow of assistance to Gaza. This includes security assistance and humanitarian aid.
White House spokesman Caroline Levitt said in a post on social media that US staff will be tasked with monitoring the Gaza Agreement in Israel and working with other international forces.
US forces will be the core of the CMCC. However, it will also include representatives of the Army of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and possibly the UAE. The joint control center will be coordinated with Israeli forces and other security forces to avoid conflict.
