Children’s Day should generate R$10 billion in sales

Sales to the should move around R$10 billion in trade, according to CNC estimates, . If expectations are confirmed, this will be the biggest collection in 10 years. The survey shows that sales for the date could grow by just over 1% compared to 2024, when revenue was R$9.85 billion. The small growth is justified by high inflation and the highest interest rate in 20 years.

The majority of sales will be made up of clothing and footwear items, which represent 27% of the amount. The date, which coincides with the Nossa Senhora Aparecida holiday, is among the best for commerce and is second only to the which earned almost R$73 billion last year, and Mother’s Day, which raised R$14.5 billion this year.

According to the CNC estimate, the inflation of the best-selling products on Children’s Day was higher than the Broad National Consumer Price Index, with an increase of 8.5%, on average, compared to 2024. Among the 11 items surveyed, four had a significant increase: chocolates, with almost 25%; sweets, with around 14%; snacks, with almost 11%; and cinema, theater and concerts, with just over 10%.
