Most social media trends have a half-life of a few days – but this one has been popular since the summer and there’s no end to it: a photo is posted from a well-known place, including a catchy rhyme or quick saying that you can use to break up with. It all started in Switzerland (on the medieval-covered wooden bridge in Lucerne with: “We’re on the wrong track” or in Bern with “This is the Federal Palace – our federal government is over!” Probably the best places in Vienna to end a relationship are: Café Korb, Mexico Square with the final word “Adiós” or if you’re in a hurry, choose to get off quickly at the S-Bahn station “Raceway”.
