During his playing days, Diego Costa was known not only for the goals he scored for European giants such as Chelsea and Atlético de Madrid, but also for the short temper he demonstrated on the field. Even retired, the Spanish-Brazilian striker demonstrated that the “fighting” institute remains active.
In a game between Liverpool legends and Chelsea legends, played this Saturday (11/10) at Stamford Bridge, Diego Costa revived an old rivalry with former defender Martin Skrtel.
At one point in the duel, Skrtel applied a tackle to the attacker while he was trying to control a ball. Diego Costa, of course, didn’t like it and went at it, offending the defender.
In a subsequent move, Diego started the move harshly, pushing the Slovakian while he was executing a pass. The pair, more warmed up, argued again, which led the referee to issue a yellow card to the attacker.
