More than 44 thousand candidates take the UECE entrance exam this Sunday (12)

The UECE 2026.1 entrance exam begins this Sunday (12), which kicks off the UECE (State University of Ceará) selection process.

In total, 44,986 candidates are competing for the 2,880 places distributed in 86 undergraduate and bachelor’s degrees, in day and night shifts.

The first phase of the competition will be applied in 71 locations, covering 11 cities in Ceará. The general knowledge exam will take place from 9am to 1pm (Brasília time). It is recommended that candidates arrive at least one hour early to avoid any setbacks.

The general knowledge test consists of 85 objective questions, covering the areas of human sciences (philosophy, sociology, geography and history), natural sciences and (biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics), and languages ​​and codes (Portuguese language, physical education and foreign language).

Crucial guidance for test day

The Vestibular Executive Committee reinforces the importance of some measures for participants:

  • Check the test location on the confirmation card;
  • Carry original identification document with photo;
  • Use exclusively a transparent ballpoint pen with black ink;
  • Arrive at the location in advance.

Furthermore, it is essential to check the information card available on the separate the necessary materials and avoid taking electronic or prohibited objects. A good rest the day before is also essential for performance.

Next Stages

Candidates who qualify in this first phase will take the second phase tests on November 30th and December 1st. This stage will consist of a test of worth 60 points, and three specific tests, totaling 60 questions, depending on the course chosen.
