Journalist Tati Machado experienced strong emotions this Friday (10/10). Godmother of the ceremony, Tati spoke with reporter Monique Arruda, from LeoDias portaland revealed that she cried “from beginning to end” while watching her friend’s special moment.

“It was the most wonderful thing in the world and I already know that love behind any camera, behind everything! In private, and seeing them here, happy, in this beautiful place… I’ll tell you, it far exceeded my expectations, because I thought it was a rainy day in Rio de Janeiro, I didn’t have that expectation”, said Tati, visibly moved.

The ceremony, held for a small group of family and close friends, took place in the rain; which, for many, could be a setback, but for the journalist it gained an even deeper meaning: “Lexa thought it wouldn’t rain, but then she had to change a lot of things to make everything work and it was perfect”, she reported.

“A super small ceremony, right? For these ceremonies that we sometimes see, with a lot of family and very close friends. So, it was really beautiful!”, she said, adding: “And I think it was the rain and my crying, the rain fell and the crying! I didn’t need it! We were covered, the rain didn’t fall on me, but I fell here, oh, crying so much! I cried from beginning to end”, said the journalist, showing everyone the tear-soaked napkins inside her purse.

Tati Machado has been married for more than 10 years to filmmaker and director of photography Bruno Monteiro, with whom she began her relationship as a teenager.

The presenter and Lexa maintain a close and affectionate friendship, built over the last few years behind the scenes on television and at artistic events. Both: Tati lost her son Rael, at 33 weeks of gestation; Lexa lost her daughter Sofia, who was born premature at 25 weeks and died three days later.
