The Slovak National Party (CIS) wants to free some types of sole traders from the payment of social and health contributions. It is discussed with the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic AS AS by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. TASR informed about this on Saturday by the director of the office of the chairman of the CIS Zuzana Škopcová.
Self -employed people whose annual income is less than EUR 10,000 and are also employed for permanent employment should be exempt from the CIS. “It is logical that, for example, if the teacher in the main employment, he / she earns money as a translator in addition to employment, he should not pay duplicate levies. At the same time, every trader should contribute to a minimum extent to be entitled to a pension or medical care in the future,” said Škopcová.
As she pointed out, she is need to distinguish honest tradesmen and those who avoid the system and then demand health or pension from the state. According to Škopca, the CIS believes that she will be able to convince coalition partners to support her proposal.
