United States President Donald Trump stated that there is “mostly” consensus between Israel and Hamas on what the next steps of the ceasefire plan for the Gaza Strip will be.
“I think there’s consensus on most of it, and some of the details, like anything else, will be worked out, because you’ll find that when you’re sitting in a nice room in Egypt, it’s easier to work something out,” Trump said on Friday.
The ceasefire plan is “a great deal for Israel, but it’s a great deal for everyone, for the Arabs, for the Muslims, for everyone, for the world,” said the Republican, adding that “everyone wants this agreement to happen.”
Hostages currently held in Gaza, Trump stated. The president commented that the hostages were held in “some pretty difficult underground places.”
Furthermore, he highlighted that Gaza “will be rebuilt”, suggesting that some of the countries in the region would be willing to pay for this reconstruction.
“You have some very rich countries, as you know, there, and it would take a small fraction of their wealth to do this, but I think they want to do it,” he pondered.
As reported by CNN Previously, Trump said he believed the ceasefire
“, and this really affects the entire Middle East – this is beyond Gaza. Gaza is very important, but this is beyond Gaza. This is peace in the Middle East. And it is a beautiful thing,” he concluded.
