The UFC is back in Rio de Janeiro, and the atmosphere is one of pure anticipation. UFC Rio 2025 will start with the preliminary card at 5pm (Brasília time), followed by the main card. In the highlight event, Charles do Bronx faces the Polish Mateusz Gamrot.
For those who couldn’t get a ticket, the good news is that the entire card will be broadcast exclusively on UFC Fight Pass, the event’s official streaming platform.

Why doesn’t Globo show more UFC fights?
The relationship between UFC and Rede Globo officially ended in January 2023, when the contract with the group came to an end. Ultimate even migrated to Band and Canal GOAT, but the agreements were short-lived.
Since then, the Brazilian public has only had access to events through UFC Fight Pass.
In an interview given in 2023 to the portal Na Telinha, Eduardo Galetti, UFC’s senior vice president for Latin America, explained that the relationship with Globo was already showing signs of wear. According to him, the broadcaster started to restrict the space dedicated to MMA, and Canal Combate became increasingly limited in terms of reach and financial return.
