Wienerin handed over coins worth almost 250,000 euros to fraudsters

Salzburg/Vienna – A Viennese woman in Salzburg lost almost a quarter of a million euros to a fraudster on Friday. The 75-year-old was informed in the afternoon by a supposed doctor that her daughter was in the hospital and needed medication worth 200,000 euros. A location in the Salzburg district of Mülln – where the state hospital is located – was agreed upon for the handover, the police said on Saturday.
