More than 53 million people and companies have not yet redeemed resources available in the Receivable Values System
More than 53 million people and companies have R$10.46 billion in amounts forgotten in financial institutions, the Central Bank reported on Tuesday (7.Oct.2025). Of this total, R$8.08 billion belongs to 48.4 million individuals, while R$2.37 billion is in the name of 4.56 million companies.
Released with a 2-month lag by the BC, the Amounts Receivable System statistics refer to August 2025. These resources can be consulted and redeemed exclusively through the page, which requires a gold or silver level account and two-step verification on .
According to the BC and the Ministry of Finance, there is no deadline for withdrawing the amounts, which remain stored in institutions until the holder requests redemption. In 2024, Congress authorized the National Treasury to collect the resources, but the Ministry of Finance states that the process is not underway.
In August alone, redemptions totaled R$396.7 million. Since the launch of the system, in February 2022, R$11.74 billion has been returned. Of this total, 30.3 million individuals recovered R$8.66 billion, and 3.2 million companies received R$3.08 billion.
Small amounts
Most beneficiaries are entitled to low amounts. According to the BC, 64% of account holders have amounts of up to R$10, while only 1.8% have amounts above R$1,000.
The amounts are distributed mainly between banks (R$5.9 billion), consortium administrators (R$3.1 billion) and credit cooperatives (R$864 million). There are also resources in payment institutions, financial institutions, brokers and distributors.
Among the most common sources of forgotten amounts are closed checking and savings accounts, fees charged incorrectly, credit union shares, resources from closed consortiums and payment accounts with a residual balance.
Free and safe rescue
The BC reinforces that the entire consultation and redemption process is free and must only be done through the official website of the Receivable Values System. Anyone who has a registered Pix key can opt for a direct return, receiving the money within 12 business days. Those who do not have Pix need to contact the financial institution indicated by the system to arrange a payment method.
At the end of May, the BC informed that it is possible to enable an automatic request for redemption of amounts receivable, made in the SVR itself. The process aims to make life easier for citizens, who will not need to consult the system periodically or manually register the request for each amount in their name.
blows
The Central Bank advises account holders to be careful with fraudsters who claim to be intermediaries for forgotten amounts, even with withdrawals interrupted. The agency says that all Valors a Receivable services are completely free and that it does not send links or contact you to discuss amounts receivable or to confirm personal data.
The BC states that only the financial institution that appears in the Receivable Values System consultation can contact the citizen. It also asks that no citizen provide passwords and clarifies that no one is authorized to make this type of request.
