Trucks with humanitarian aid begin entering Gaza from Egypt, according to ceasefire agreement
Hundreds of trucks with humanitarian aid began to enter the Gaza Strip from Egypt this Sunday, in accordance with the ceasefire plan between Israel and Hamas, which came into effect last Friday, according to several media outlets. The BBC assures that numerous trucks are arriving at the Rafah border crossing, which has been closed for months.
Long queues of trucks with aid are also in the Rafah area, bordering Gaza, waiting to enter the Strip through the Kerem Shalom and al Awja crossings, controlled by Israel, according to the Egyptian television channel Al Qahera News.
Under the terms of the agreement reached on Friday between Israel and Hamas, 600 trucks of humanitarian aid must enter the Strip daily. Although the agreement was already in full force on Saturday, it is not clear how many trucks entered, in any case a much lower number than that.
