Italy secured three important points this Saturday (11) in the European Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. The Azzurri beat Estonia 3-1 and reached their fourth victory in the group stage of the competition.
At Lilleküla Stadium, in Tallinn, Estonia, Kean, Retegui and Esposito scored the goals for the Italian team, while Sappinen scored for the home team.
With the result, Italy reached 12 points and remained in second place in Group I, without allowing it to open up even more of an advantage. With one game more, the Norwegians have 18 points at the top of the group.
Italy returns to the field next Tuesday (14) against, at 3:45 pm (Brasília time) and can further reduce the distance to, staying alive in the search for a direct place in the World Cup.
On the same day, Estonia, which no longer has a chance of qualifying, faces Moldova, also eliminated, at 1 pm (Brasília time).
