The socialist leader voted this morning at Escola Alexandre Herculano, in Porto. In addition to appealing to people to vote, he considered the campaign to be constructive and expressed confidence in electoral participation.
After exercising his right to vote in Porto, the general secretary of the PS, José Luís Carneiro, made the appeal”so that everyone can participate in this electoral act, because it is a celebration of democracy”.
“Ahair to all Portuguese women and men who vote, choose their local elected representatives, because it is with local elected representatives, parish assemblies, municipal assemblies, city councils, that we can contribute to developing our country”.
José Luís Carneiro will spend the morning in Porto, in the afternoon he will head to Lisbon, at the PS headquarters in Largo do Rato “oWhere I will be with my comrades from 6 am at a meeting of the National Secretariat, so that we can begin to receive the electoral results and be able to make our judgment on the current circumstances”.
A constructive campaign
The PS leader is confident in electoral participation and considers that “the campaign helped people come out and vote.”
“The campaign was good because it placed the country’s priorities at the center of its priorities,” he said.
