The Ghana national team booked their place in the 2026 World Cup this Sunday (12) after beating Comoros 1-0 in Accra, the Ghanaian capital.
The winning goal for Ghana was scored in the 2nd minute of the final stage by midfielder Mohammed Kudus, from Tottenham.
With the result, the Black Stars close the African Qualifiers at the top of group I with 25 points. Second place went to Madagascar, which scored 19 points and has a good chance of winning.
This will be the fifth World Cup that Ghana will compete in. The African team was in the 2006, 2010 editions, where they came in seventh place, 2014 and 2022.
