Ramon Rocha Queiroz, known as Dino, won the Olympia 2025 in the Classic Physique category in the early hours of this Sunday (12). In second place was the German Mike Sommerfeld, who was considered the main favorite to take over the position left by Chris Bumstead.
Hours after the competition, the organization of the IFBB Professional League (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) released the official “scorecards” of the categories that had their competitions taking place from Saturday (11).
While the Brazilian got seven points, his rival got eight. This indicates that three judges gave Dino the victory, compared to two who chose Sommerfeld. With 15 total points, Terrence Ruffin was placed third unanimously by the referees.
How scoring works in bodybuilding
In total, 11 professionals refereed the competition. The number of points that the athlete receives from each of them is equivalent to the place that the referee in question believes the bodybuilder should occupy in the championship. In other words, if Dino was champion for a certain referee, one point will be added to his overall performance. The one with the fewest points overall wins.
Although there are 11 judges at Olympia, only the scores of five of them are counted. This is because the three best grades, as well as the three worst, are disregarded.
Therefore, it is possible to read through the published “scorecard” that Ramon received one point from three referees and two from two other professionals, which totals seven. Mike received one point from two judges and two from three others, giving him eight points in total.
