Police started in connection with Monday’s crash of express trains near Jablonov nad Turňou in the district of Rožňava criminal prosecution for a general threat. The Košice Regional Police informed about it on the social network.

There was also a firefighting drone with a thermal imager, which monitored space in terms of the risk of fire. At the same time, firefighters took the necessary fire -fighting measures, stopped the leakage of operating fluids and carried out rescue work on crashed trains.
There were also HaZZ evacuation buses, which were transported by easily injured persons to the surrounding hospitals. “Intervening firefighters provided first aid to injured persons, They helped in the transport of injured, including the assistance of the air rescue service and conducted a survey of trains and their surroundings because of the possible presence of wounded or disoriented persons, ”said HaZZ.
The collision of the express trains in front of the tunnel near Jablonov nad Turňou occurred shortly after 10.00 am where the tracks cross and pass into a single track. Seven people, according to the Minister of Health, Kamil Šaška (Voice-SD) in a critical condition, 14 people are moderately injured and 48 easily injured.
