Almost a hundred people were injured this Monday in the collision between two high-speed trains in southern Slovakia, close to the border with Hungary.
The accident occurred near the town of Roznavaat 10:00 (09:00 in Lisbon), indicated the Slovak railway company.

Slovak Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok stated that, so far, no deaths were recorded in the accident, and confirmed that the two drivers survived, according to the newspaper Dennik. However, search and rescue teams reported that several people had to be taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
According to the Minister of Health, Kamil Šašek, cited by the Slovak newspaper, seven people are still in critical condition, 14 are moderately injured and 48 are slightly injured.
The accident may have been caused by a error of one of the drivers, who did not give way to the other train.
The Slovak Minister of Health, Kamil Sasko, announced that he will personally go to the scene of the accident, which is already under investigation and with criminal proceedings opened for threatening public order.
