US President Donald Trump on Monday during a meeting with journalists in the Israeli Parliament declared that The war between Israel and the Hamas Palestinian movement in the Gaza Strip is over. “It’s a great day. It’s a brand new beginning and I think nothing like this has happened yet,” He declared Trump after Hamas handed over the remaining 20 living hostages to the employees of the Red Cross International Committee on Monday. They have been detained in the Palestinian enclave for more than two years.
“We are very happy for hostages … They’ll be happy and a great life is waiting for them,” Trump noted. When asked what happens to Hamas if he does not observe the ceasefire, he replied, “They will follow it.”
In Kneset, the Israeli Parliament, his chairman Amir Ochana welcomed the White House chief. “It’s a great honor for me. A great and beautiful day, a new beginning,” He wrote Trump in the book of visits to the Knesset.
