The president of the , , said this Sunday (12) that “the war is over” and that “everyone is very excited” about the ceasefire in and the release of the hostages, scheduled to take place this Monday, 13th, in the morning, Israeli time. “The war is over, right? Do you understand?” Trump told reporters when asked if he was sure that the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas had come to an end.
“This is a very special event,” he told reporters before boarding Air Force One on his way to Israel. Trump will also participate in a multinational peace summit in Egypt with several Western, Muslim and Arab countries. The American president added that it has been an “honor to be involved” in the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas.

Countries mediating the Gaza ceasefire agreement will sign a document as guarantors during Monday’s summit in the Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh. “The signatories will be the guarantors”, and these countries are “the United States, Egypt, Qatar and, probably, Turkey”, declared the diplomat informed about the preparations for the summit, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this Sunday that during the summit — co-chaired by the United States and Egypt — the “document that puts an end to the war in the Gaza Strip” will be signed.
