To stylist Victoria Beckham51, came out in defense of her children in relation to the “nepo babies” label and reinforced that heirs pursue their own careers. The former Spice Girl and her husband, football star David Beckham, 50, are parents to Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.
He has already tried different professional paths, including photography, and currently has his own brand of condiments. Invests in a modeling career, is a rising musician, and Victoria believes that Harper will be “a beauty mogul or comedian”.
In an interview with British newspaper The Sun, the designer commented about Cruz: “He will be releasing music soon. He spent the last 10 years honing his talent. He learned to play around seven instruments, writes his own songs and started a band. He started from scratch, authentically. He didn’t come in demanding anything, nor just singing his songs. I really can’t give much advice, the industry has changed so much.”
“You have to start at the bottom and build up little by little. That’s exactly what he’s doing: playing in small places, without fanfare, following his path. I’m very proud of him.”
“But he’s a nepo. I feel sorry for these kids who are called ‘nepo babies’. They’re just their parents’ children, it’s not their fault. Give them a chance.”
