When wearing glasses, we want the best possible vision quality. Therefore, we often try to perfectly clean the dirt and streaks that appear on the glasses. However, this is not always fully successful. Then it is worth reaching for a homemade liquid that will make your glasses clean as new.
First of all, it is worth knowing what it is better not to use on glasses so as not to make a mistake and scratch the glasses. First of all, let’s avoid the common mistake of using various materials that are not intended for glasses. This includes wiping glasses with the hem of a T-shirt or sweater.
This is dangerous for our glasses because these clothes are made of fabrics that are too rough for the smooth structure of the glasses. IN As a result, they can create micro-scratches on the lens surface. Moreover, dust and sand particles accumulate between the fibers and can damage the smooth surface, acting like sandpaper.
The same applies to toilet paper, tissues and paper towels. Instead, we use cloths that are specifically designed for glasses or a cloth made of microfiber. Thanks to them, we can safely clean the glasses.
If you want to clean your glasses thoroughly, it is worth using a home method that is neither time-consuming nor complicated. All you need to do is prepare your own detergent for cleaning the glasses, which will prevent them from streaking.
To make it, we only need two ingredients – dishwashing liquid and distilled. All we have to do is pour some dishwashing liquid into the bottle and mix it with distilled water in a 1:10 ratio. We apply this liquid to our glasses and clean the lenses with it using a glasses cloth.

It is also worth preventing the lenses from getting too dirty by taking care of your glasses every day. First of all, keep them in a case. Thanks to it, we will not only avoid unsightly dirt, but also scratches and damage to the glasses.. This will also protect us against damage to the frames if the glasses fall.
However, if we do not have a case with us, never place your glasses with the lenses down. Let’s try to place them in a secluded and clearly visible place so that someone doesn’t accidentally damage them or throw them down. Additionally, make sure your hands are clean and always wash them thoroughly before cleaning your glasses so as not to transfer grease and dirt to them.
