First-time mother Shelby Martin went viral on social media after giving birth to her first child. The baby, born by cesarean section, weighed nearly six pounds, breaking the record for the largest newborn born at TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital in Nashville over the past three years.
The birth of a baby in Nashville, United States, went viral on social media. Shelby Martin, a first-time mother, broke the internet (and a hospital record) by giving birth, on her own birthday, to a baby weighing almost six kilos.
It was through that Shelby Martin shared images of her first child, Cassianwho was born by cesarean section and weighed about 5.8 kilos. The birth took place in in Nashville, where the baby broke his rRecord of the biggest newborn born in that hospital unit in the last three years.
Due to his high weight, Cassian had to be admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to monitoring glucose levels, revealed Shelby Martin.
Cassian’s mother also thanked all the support from professionals who followed her pregnancy and birth, and who took care of her “little big” baby, through a comment on a no Facebook do TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital.
Shelby Martin’s post on TikTok generated a wave of humorous comments, such as: “I bet nurses came from every floor to see your baby, who is practically a kid now” e “At least you can now share clothes with your husband.”
