Liverpool – As feared, Austrian soccer team player Marie-Therese Höbinger suffered a serious injury. An examination revealed an anterior cruciate ligament injury, her club Liverpool announced on Tuesday. The 24-year-old midfielder will undergo surgery in the next few days. Höbinger left the pitch limping and in tears in the 26th minute of the 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City in the English Women’s Super League on Sunday.
