Former president of Youth, Luiz Oliveira assumed this Monday (13) the presidency of the party’s directory in the city of São Paulo. He replaces former senator José Aníbal, one of the last historical toucans remaining in the party.
A member of the party since 2014 and son of one of the party’s founders, Oliveira was nominated for the position by Paulo Serra, former mayor of Santo André and pre-candidate for governor of São Paulo next year.
His appointment, at 31 years of age, represents an attempt at renewal for a party. Oliveira was also the state’s undersecretary for Youth under João Doria and general secretary of the São Paulo state directory.
