USA sank this Tuesday by order of Donald Trump off the coast of Venezuela other vessel which Washington accuses of drug trafficking and has killed the six occupants. Trump himself made the announcement on his Truth Social account, including a 33-second video that captures the moment of the boat explosion.
It is about the fifth attack against this type of boat authorized by Trump, although he himself made comments a few weeks ago that point to the possibility that another one may have occurred. It is with everyone challenging US law and international law.
The president has declared that the United States is in a “non-international armed conflict” with the drug cartels, whose members he has classified as illegal combatantss, arguments with which he tries to arrogate authority for these attacks. According to information publicly provided by the US, until now 27 occupants have been killed of the boats.
This latest attack comes four days after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to María Corina Machado, leader of the opposition to Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela, who has thanked Trump for his support and has supported the American’s policy against the Caracas government and in particular the sinking of boats.
