Beáta Dubas talked about her past: she lived with other women in Unimobunka!

Singer Beáta Dubasová (62) is one of the biggest stars of the Slovak pop scene. It shines since the 80s of the last century. Her unmistakable voice, charisma and hits to give me the stars, or we are what we have accompanied for generations and became an essential part of musical history. But as she revealed for Timepis, The beginnings of her career were not easy.

Although Dubasová studied at the Secondary Technical School of clothing in Prešov with a specialization in the production of clothing and laundry, she longed for it to become a singer. Shortly after graduation she went to Bratislava to fulfill her dream.

“I found a job on the ad. It was the then Poornica plant, where they sewed shirts, quilts, duvets. At first I dragged large bales of fabrics from the warehouse, then I sewed until I worked out to work the inspector. I checked the quality of the made shirts“she remembered her first work. She lived in the plant area in Unimobunka, which she was shared with her colleagues.

She came to the capital with a five hundred crowd in her pocket, which was given to her by her mother. “I had a big dream and I told myself that if I don’t try, I would be unhappy all my life,” She admitted today a successful singer who became a teenage idol.

Dubas then exchanged the job. “I worked in the promotional department in Bratislava’s electrical plant. We created banners there – for example, with the Soviet Union for eternal times,” revealed.
