Born in the Vila Maria neighborhood, north of São Paulo, I started my journey in sport at the age of six like most Brazilian children, dreaming of being a professional football player. Time passed, I played on great teams in the youth categories, I won a scholarship to attend large private schools and universities, and soon after finishing my journalism course at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie I quickly realized that my future would not lie within the futsal courts and I chose to open my first company, at the age of 22.
A sports press office, with the aim of improving communication between athletes, the press and the advertising market, but mainly believing in the importance of communication in the professionalization of sport. The company’s initial conception didn’t work out, but I didn’t give up and continued on a new journey with the creation of TFW Marketing, a sports marketing agency capable of delivering more complete solutions to the market.
Soon, the company grew, we became responsible for producing major events and in 2014, alongside the greatest player of all time, Falcão, we created what would become the most successful young team in the history of world futsal, Magnus Futsal, in the city of Sorocaba/SP.
Sometimes I imagined that the route of my journey could take paths far from futsal, but destiny always brought me closer with opportunities that I never imagined. Ten years after the beginning of my career as manager of a high-performance team, I am once again faced with a great challenge, being president of the LNF – National Futsal League, the biggest competition in the sport on the planet, being elected by acclamation last Monday (13/10) to a position that was never a personal or professional ambition. It just happened. It happened because throughout this time we worked to do the best for the sport, to do good without looking at who, getting things right and wrong, but always with honesty and an open heart, unconditionally believing that our sport has the potential to be the NBA in Brazil.
I have carried with me since things started to work out in my life, three words that really represent the way I act in my business and also in my personal life: Dream, Believe and Realize! Good ideas pop into people’s heads every day, but they often die quickly due to lack of conviction in the potential of this opportunity and most of them don’t get off the ground due to lack of energy or fear to carry them out.

Or famous “Done is better than perfect” It fits perfectly into building a successful career and this has nothing to do with a lack of performance or delivery with excellence, but simply recognizing that mistakes are also part of the growth process, as long as you keep making them.
According to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), futsal has more than 12 million players, consolidating itself as the most practiced sport in the country. Present in schools, children’s first contact with the ball is on the courts, a factor that reflects on football performance when we detect that the main football players in Brazil’s history started their careers in futsal. A true tool for social transformation, which brings young people closer to sport, providing an expectation of a better future and building an emotional memory that will be kept for a lifetime. However, our challenge is to ensure that this admiration for futsal can be transformed into consumption during adult life.
National and international presence, building a strong brand, product licensing, online communication with creators and influencers, new idols, improving the experience in the arenas, better quality broadcasts, modernization of the rules, the union of all the main players in the sport and attracting new stakeholders. Transforming a product that is fantastic in itself, with emotion until the last second, into a true media and entertainment platform. A very great honor and responsibility, but I am very optimistic and confident that together with the new board we will be able to continue the growth of this enchanting sport.
