“As an example, we can easily produce cooking oil ourselves, we don’t need to buy it from China,” said the president
United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is considering ending some trade ties with China, including over cooking oil.
“I believe that China’s purposely not purchasing our soybeans and causing hardship for our soybean farmers is an economically hostile act. We are considering ending business with China related to cooking oil and other elements of trade as retribution,” Trump wrote on social media.
“As an example, we can easily produce cooking oil ourselves, we don’t need to buy it from China,” he added.
