The former PSOE deputy and historical feminist (Madrid, 1939) has died at the age of 85, as announced this Thursday by the leadership of the PSOE of Madrid and the first vice president, María Jesús Montero, in a message on her socialist deputy for Madrid in the constituent Cortes.
“We have just learned with enormous sadness of the death of Carlota Bustelo, a reference for feminism who opened the path that many of us have followed later. We will always be indebted to her. Thank you for your fight, colleague,” wrote the first vice president of the Government, María Jesús Montero. Some condolences to which the Minister for Digital Transformation, Óscar López, has joined, who has described her as “an example of life.” “Carlota Bustelo has died. Constituent deputy in the Congress of Deputies for Madrid. Great defender of women’s rights. A true example of life. A hug to her family, friends and so many socialists who learned from her,” says López’s message.
It is with great sadness that we have just learned of the death of Carlota Bustelo, a reference for feminism who opened the path that many of us have followed since. We will always be indebted to her.
