The Civil Police of Acre, through the General Police Station of Rodrigues Alves, with the support of Mâncio Lima’s team, carried out on the morning of this Thursday, 16th, the execution of an arrest warrant against a man sentenced to 12 years in prison in a closed regime for the crime of rape of a vulnerable person, which occurred in 2016, in the municipality of Rodrigues Alves.

According to information from police chief Marcílio Laurentino, responsible for the action, the convict was on the run and had moved to Mâncio Lima in an attempt to escape justice. After joint investigation and exchange of information between the teams, the police located the accused’s hiding place.
“At the time of the approach, the individual tried to deceive the police officers by providing a false name and even tried to escape, but was quickly restrained by the team, who arrested him”, reported the delegate.
After capture, the man was taken to the police station, where the usual procedures were carried out. The Civil Police informed that he will be presented at a custody hearing, at which time the Court will decide whether to maintain his arrest.
